Gods have set me in many Mansions
	Tubs 12-feet-long of Marble
	A Four-Poster bed with Foot-Stool
	Carpet where Katrina might dance free
		Thank you--Thank you--Thank you
		For all I was meant to learn

Gods have set me in many Waters 
	Waves off Fortaleze and Margarita
	Falls of Nicaragua and Whirlpool
	Harbor of Dar and Biondi
		Thank you--Thank you--Thank you
		For wonders that Rivers share

Gods have set me in Snow 'n' Mud 'n' Dirt
	Mud that splashed before it burnt
	Concreto's cake soaking through T-shirt
	Logs flakes-slick as they pinched my leg
		Thank you--Thank you--Thank you
		For showing me those worlds of hurt

Gods have set me with many Women
	Each with secrets to reveal
	Each bearing vessels unknown to men
	Each of visions past the Dawn
		Thank you--Thank you--Thank you
		For the hands and Lilies lifting

Gods have set me into being helpless
	As a babe, face-down on the cold ground,
	Crippled, stuck in pain, no answer
	To be found, but for those strangers' kindness

		God and Gods, for Your Mercy
		That lets us know we're all special
		And here to carry on.
