Track-a-Week #1--"Bobee (What A Spirit Walks That Way)" by Rivers Answer Moons
Roger Lewis, Herlin Riley and Kirk Joseph of the band Rivers Answer Moons, make magic. 'The musical peers from New Orleans are, I think, among the most powerful of trios.'
Hello, Substack! Much thanks again for the new Subscriptions and many Comments with readers’ insights and links! I learn a lot, lot, lot from this community. Its amounts of knowledge and passion are immesurably heartening.
Today I’m starting a weekly feature on the recently re-done Website Ur1Light.com, a feature titled Track-a-Week. It will present a new Track each Sunday from the songs that have come to me since—lo, how many years in the space—1988, followed by more story of the track’s making with musicans in several bands or other groupings.
“Bobee (What A Spirit Walks That Way)”, the first Track in the series, is genuinely blessed by three master musicians whom I’m so lucky to have in Rivers Answer Moons. By instruments and age they are: Roger Lewis, 81, saxophones and flute; Herlin Riley, drums-set and percussion; and Kirk Joseph, sousaphone. Each is truly among the leading creators of music, ‘New Orleans’ and other, now living, I think. Michael Torregano Jr. on keyboards is the other central member of Rivers Answer Moons.
I’m working today on a response to the CHASE BANK’s attack on Dr. Joseph Mercola and his company of health-supplements. Last Tuesday, July 25, Dr. Mercola wrote that the Bank had cancelled the Accouts of Mercola Market and its CEO and its CFO and Accounts of children of those executives. We know NAZI Party precedents for cancelling Accounts. We can imagine what CHASE and other Banks could do with the power of Central Bank Digital Currencies that Governments are authorizing for them.
So let me drop in here two images for the post over on Ur1Light.com and leave you with the hope that you dig the trio’s great playing on the instrumental excerpts from “Bobee (What A Spirit …)” Just click on over and start up the band!
