The most democratic, anti-racist Constitution. The Constitution drawn up for Ayiti/Hayti/Haiti by 20-or-so authors in 1805, 14 years after this Colony of slaves rebelled, is the most inclusive ever.
Please read these excerpts and contemplate how enlightened were the slaves who since 1791 had fought the Spanish, the British, and lastly and most dramatically (Napoleon sent his most able Army to subdue the Blacks) the French for their independence. Women equal to me. White were equal to Blacks and Mulattoes … and Polish equal to Germans and Irish … because ALL were named Blacks if they declared loyalty to the new Nation.
