The Child Is Clever and the Child Is Strong

Margaret Anna Alice’s characteristically excellent and moving piece of heartfelt sarcasm, ‘50 Reasons to Give Your Child the COVID Shot’, somehow missed my e-mail inbox when she published it last September 1. Today it’s inspired the rewriting of a song/poem from November 2021, ‘The Child Asks Why’. The song was then—an Autumn in which the CDC and FDA approved the blood-clotting, genes-altering injections for those young as five years old in the U.S.—accompaniment to this prose piece of children appealing to Physicians (Physicians!) who may soon suffer nights of excruciating conscience comparable to Dante’s Lower Circles.
The prose piece was titled then ‘The Children Ask.’
It published on Ur1Light.com. it has many links and many images and is much longer than short poem/song of today.

The child is clever and the child is strong The child asks why we can’t see what’s wrong
How many must gasp? How many must writhe? How many on playing Fields and TV sets must clutch Their chests and die? How many Studies—how many more Proofs Must you adults see till you know … The COVID shots don’t work?
How many athletes? How many pilots? How many actors? How many Doctors? How many who are young as 10 (My age) must have their hearts and brains Spiked and swollen, choked and wrecked, And leave the stage before their full-grown acts begin … Before you adults see the shots don’t work?
We must wonder. We must feel bad. We must ask why you adults don’t care enough To search out the data, comparisons, charts and graphs, Videos and testaments, any child can access Within one hour on the Internet? You’d See for sure … that the COVID shots don’t work.
We know the stats! We know the truth! We don’t need these shots! We don’t want these shots! We feel so bad and unwanted That our lives must be worth less Than adults’ plots and fears. We must join the battle where you who would kill us won’t fight!
