Oct. 22, 2022
Hello, friends,
I’m thinking you might enjoy the 4-page booklet from an event that Sticking Up For Children helped to organize this past Thursday.
Visiting this web-page will let you watch Bobby Rush—so young at 87!—thank his great “friend”, Belle Moore, “Brown Sugar”, for supporting “Blues … entertainers” like him over decades on WWOZ. Also there is ‘A Spoonful of “Brown Sugar”—an excerpt from her show—so that folks can hear her voice. There, too, is my reading from Bob Dylan on “Brown Sugar” in his 2004 book Chronicles and my riffing on the Big Tree of music from the “South” whose roots cross Rivers, Gulfs and Oceans.
Of course I ‘been workin’ on a piece or two that may help us Eight Billion Survivors of the Great COVID Scam move toward justice and freedom against our ever-active enemies among the World Economic Forum’s many Global Hubs ‘n Global Champions ‘n Global Leaders, Strategic Partner ‘n New Champions ‘n Agenda Contributors, … and whatever more of nomenclature may issue from the Really Few Elitists’ desire to cloak their lack of connection to our struggling but all-powerful humanity. Again: “Thank you, Brown Sugar!”
Don
Again, please visit the ‘DAY of the DJ’ web-page to watch video of Bobby’s great, warm thank-you to Belle and my reading from Bob on “Brown Sugar” in his book, Chronicles.
